FAQs

We care for our customers. Our policies protect our customers. You may feel safe with us as we treat our customers the same as we would want ourselves treated.

Both are used to regulate the time of the clock. Cable driven clocks are generally on the more expensive models. They make winding the clock easier and smoother because you use a crank that inserts in the face of the clock. Cable-driven also means that the weights are suspended with cables and pulleys. The crank lifts the weights. Chain-driven means the weights are suspended by chains. They require you to pull down on the chain while the weight rises. Both are good mechanisms to regulate the time, some people prefer the ease of use that cable-driven provides.

Our clocks are already assembled and regulated when shipped. Our in-home delivery agent will unpack the box for you, bring the clock in your home and place it in the location of your choice.  The only detail for you is hanging the pendulum and weights on their hooks. You then set the time and start the clock. Call us and we can do this on the phone together in about 5 minutes. No tools required.

We only ship within the United States. Their may be additional charges for residence of Hawaii or Alaska.

If the grandfather clock is in stock it ships within 2-3 business days from the manufacturer. It then is delivered via a Home Delivery agent in your area. It usually takes about 3-5 business days in shipping. Remote areas may take a few additional days. The trucking company then contacts you prior to delivery.

Just call us and we can send you enhanced images of the clocks you are considering. We will be glad to answer any questions you have. Call us between 10:00 AM and 6:00 EST and we always answer the phone during store hours.
